5.0 out of 5 stars Very strong, well made as long as you put it together correctly!, August 26, 2011

This review is from: Pragma Bed Mattress Platform - Queen. No Box Spring needed. Ideal for memory foam, latex, and air mattresses.
So after reading reviews, I decided to give it a shot. My conclusion is as long as you put it together correctly, works flawlessly with 12 legs and very strong. So this is what you need to know. After pulling it out of box and unfolding them and putting them side by side and putting 2 very easy bolts through it to secure them together, I noticed the legs on the head and feet of the frame are collapsible so if you were obviously trying to move it or sit on it, the legs may fold in. So im like ok now I know why some of these reviews are like this. So im looking at the one BUT!! if you look closely at the head and feet of frames there are 2 wing nuts on each side screwed on the frame just chillin there. Then across from those nuts are two free standing bars tucked underneath. So i was like ahhhh thats what you do. Very surprised not in instructions. You twist the bar around to the screw, which had the wing nut on it that you removed and you secure it with that nut. And you do that to all... Read more

2.0 out of 5 stars Frame bent and broke, December 18, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
We bought this bed 6 months ago, at first we thought it was wonderful. We purchased it because we couldn't get the box spring up the stairs, and we needed a quick solution. The frame squeaks every time you roll over right from the start, at about month 3 we noticed that the bottom portion of the frame was starting to bend on both sides, and the legs to the frame are not very sturdy at all! Last night when our dog was laying on the bed alone (she is 85 lbs) the middle of the frame broke in half and the entire mattress caved in! Please note, we aren't skinny tiny people, but we certainly do not exceed, or come close to meeting the weight limit that this bed is supposed to support. So, now only after 5 months of use, we are forced to get another frame. Once the frame started to bend, it did nothing but give us back problems anyway, because the bed was at a constant slant. We also had problems with frame moving constantly ( Ie, would slide on the floor away from the wall every... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Great product, July 7, 2010

This review is from: Pragma Bed Mattress Platform - Queen. No Box Spring needed. Ideal for memory foam, latex, and air mattresses.
Bought this bed frame to replace my sagging queen box springs, and glad I did. I set my mattress directly on top and use a 3" memory foam topper to smooth it out. It's firm, but you can't feel the bars through through the mattress and topper. This frame is very supportive, and very sturdy. The bed has screw hole on all sides so it's great for attachment points if you're into the kinky stuff, or if you want to attach a headboard or other decorations. The bed frame squeaks a tiny bit if you move on it just right, but overall is quieter than the box frame I had. Folds up very compact, and will be extremely convenient when I move. It seemed pricey when I bought it, but you can feel the quality in the build. This thing was designed for prison and military beds, so I don't doubt I can take abuse. The only part I don't like is the queen set is just two smaller frames linked together by a bolt with wing nuts and a plastic spacer washer. I have a feeling the plastic washers are the... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Super great platform bed, February 27, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This is a great platform bed, it gives plenty of storage space under it, you can use a bed skirt to hid it.
with the 8 legs it is sturdy. The frame is sturdy & heavy duty. It will need 2 people to put together, it is heavy. Just follow the directions it is easy. Making sure middle leg bolts fit before tighten nuts.
Make sure you have room to fit this bed frame in the room & can work on both sides of the frame, put it
together upside down then turn over, will need help lifting & moving it. It holds the mattress still so
it won't move off it.
I had a regular bed frame before & you could not sit at the foot of the bed
because it would go down & the top end would go up. Also the other had wheels & would move when you sat on it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Handy Living 32F-FULL Full Size Bed Frame, May 29, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
Bed came in three sections, very easy to build. (Age 27) Did not take up as much space as I thought it would. Was delivered a day after I ordered it, (live in CA) does move around, but just put in some on non-slip plastic underneath the legs it should be fine. Does not make any real noise (I tested it out by jumping on the bed, made a note to put the non-slip after this experiment) but only have had it for a month. Has lots of space under the frame, very happy with purchase. Would recommend to family and friends, my best friend wants one for himself, he was taken in by its simplicity.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ever assembled a bridge before?, February 11, 2011
By
Jane (California) - See all my reviews
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
They must have changed this product in the last few months. Maybe seven months ago it was much better than pictured, but now it is certainly low quality. I didnt expect the quality of a piano, but I expected better than this. The wood pieces looked like the trusses for a bridge, and it was quite difficult to put together properly. The only extra touch was that the corners were rounded, so you don't snag anything. I used a hammer to force the corners in (dont forget the middle lengthwise truss during the initial assembly -- it does NOT slip into a slot later, as mentioned in one of the other reviews. I did have the full size, which may be different from the queen). I also used glue so it wouldnt squeak later, and I nailed each slat because they were not straight and would have shifted. But when all was said and done it cost half as much as a real one, it does support the mattress, and will be covered by the bedspread. There is a cloth cover, so the wood isnt actually exposed... 5.0 out of 5 stars Does what it says, easy assembly, December 1, 2010

(REAL NAME)
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
I bought this foundation to replace an aging foundation that had stared sagging and creaking when weight was put on it. I live one state over from the distributor, so I received it the day after it shipped, less than a week after ordering. It comes in a tall (about 6.5 ft) box that weighs about 55 lbs, so while it's a little awkward, one person can move it. The outer wood box pieces are partially assembled, so that you only have to join the head and foot pieces to the side and middle pieces with dowels (already in place) and bolts. One person can assemble this with little difficulty. The top slats, which are spaced and held to each other with canvas ribbon, are rolled out on top of the assembled box and fastened with six screws. The foundation comes with all hardware necessary for assembly. The package also includes an appropriately sized wrench, though a ratchet with a 1/2 bolt will speed up assembly. The six screws that hold the top slats to the foundation box secure three... Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok but better ways to spend money, March 26, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: DynastyMattress Queen Bed 8" Thick Wood Box Foundation for memory foam, latex, and air mattresses
It gets three stars because it does what it says; However, it's a cheap product and you're better off spending a little more for a true box springs or just buy some flat planks for your foam mattress. After two days, one of the boards has broken.
